Summary/objective
The Senior Training Specialist will report directly to the Director, Training & Support and will coordinate on a routine basis with the Support Directors, Managers and Team Leads as well as with the Corporate Trainer. The ideal candidate will be a confident presenter who can establish a presence and credibility within all levels of the organization, who can present standardized training materials in a consistent fashion to new hires and to current employees as needed. The Senior Training Specialist may have day to day responsibilities for providing guidance to less experienced team members and in developing strategy for the training function.
Core Job Duties
- Develop and maintain the technical knowledge base pertaining to the systems and functional knowledge of the supporting platforms. May be involved as a subject matter expert when potential changes to system or process occur.
- Develop training materials, presentations, job aids, knowledge checks, etc. to meet the training needs of the Support organization. May also review and edit training materials.
- Collaborate with Managers, Team Leads, Product Support, and Subject Matter Experts to define, develop and prioritize training needs. May present reporting and findings to leadership.
- Develops curriculum based on a solid background in the principles of adult education, course development, needs analysis and training effectiveness.
- Facilitate the curriculum and conduct routine on-the-job-training, new hire, subject matter experts and leadership.
- Serve as training liaison to help ensure stakeholders are aware of and informed of the various training activities. Reports into management any key initiatives.
