Summary:
As Senior Product Manager for the Job Seeker Understanding team, you will drive an improved user experience and significant revenue growth for ZipRecruiter by ensuring that we are matching Job Seekers to the jobs that they are the best fit for. You will work with a team of Data Scientists and Engineers to develop a roadmap centered around models and services that improve the depth and quality of our Job Seeker understanding, and drive delightful, explainable ML-driven experiences for both Job Seeker and Employers. This role includes product responsibility for our Job Seeker Multi-Task Learning (MTL) framework, significant use of generative AI, and is at the heart of ZipRecruiters strategic focus on application quality.
Key Focus Areas:
- Identify, validate, and prioritize a balanced roadmap of short-term and long-term bets to level up our models focused on matching Job Seekers with jobs and marketing qualified candidates to Employers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional machine learning-driven user experiences for job seekers and employers
- Manage project execution and define go-to-market strategy and communications
- Build alignment toward a long-term vision with key stakeholders and partners, and be a strong voice and influencer for effective data management across domains
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years professional experience in product, with previous background in data science, engineering, or ML-centric product management
- Practical proficiency with SQL, Python, and related analytical tools and platforms
- Experience leading and driving product roadmaps with proven leadership in cross-functional team management, driving execution and enhancing team productivity
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years combined professional experience in product, data science, or engineering
- Experience leading and driving machine learning roadmaps

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,500-$220,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
