Overview
The Internal Communications Manager develops then executes internal communications strategies to deliver relevant information to internal team members through various channels. The role works closely with all levels of leadership, the people (HR) team, and global marketing, communications and public relations teams to ensure the right messages are delivered in the right channels at the right times. The development of communications strategies, messaging frameworks, and delivery standards will be critical to this role in our fully remote, global work environment.
What You'll Do
Strategic Communication Planning:
Build and implement a cohesive internal communication strategy which is purpose-built for Deel’s unique, global and remote-first environment.
Partner with senior leadership to craft compelling, consistent messaging around business priorities and organizational changes.
Design and execute communication plans for key people initiatives (e.g. performance cycles, team member engagement surveys, benefits updates).
Channel Management & Optimization:
Own and manage internal communication channels (we are predominantly a Slack-based business).
Lead the planning and execution of All Hands meetings, Monthly Product Meetings, and other company-wide events.
Optimize channel usage to reduce noise, improve accessibility, and ensure messages are prioritized effectively.
Change Management Communications:
Partner closely with our external communications team on internalizing large company announcements, and driving team member engagement with the news.
Create strategic communication campaigns to guide the organization through significant changes (e.g. M&A integrations).
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, activating their ability to lead comms, cascade messages and build engagement within their teams.
Targeted Communication Journeys:
Develop tailored messaging strategies for specific audiences, such as People Managers, newly acquired teams, or leadership groups.
Drive awareness and participation in critical people programs, ensuring consistent engagement and adoption.
Measurement & Improvement:
Establish and manage internal communication guidelines, governance, and tone of voice.
Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, leveraging data to refine and improve future campaigns.
What You'll Need
Minimum of 8 years experience in internal communications within a high growth, global organization with a proven ability to design and deliver effective communications targeted to the internal workforce.
What You Bring
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex messages for diverse audiences.
Expertise in managing internal communications channels (e.g., Slack) in a global work environment, specifically where email is not a core channel.
Experience organizing company-wide events focused on communication and intentional information sharing (e.g., All Hands).
Ability and confidence to partner with senior leadership and influence executive communication strategies.
Keen ability to identify target messages and target audiences and create relevant, highly targeted communications.
Deep business acumen to understand, anticipate, and solve critical communication gaps or needs.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and balancing both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. This is a green-field site: you will be in build mode.

Collaborative and open to working across teams, timezones, and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR successfully.

Knowledge and experience in technology businesses and familiarity with their global HR practices and policies.
Ability to travel internationally for offsites and events.
