About the Role
Workday is seeking an accomplished and highly innovative senior level benefits professional who will have manage our US Healthcare programs. You will be tasked with the upkeep and enhancement of our extensive healthcare programs. Your role will manage, evaluate, conduct request for proposals, and implement changes to medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, wellbeing, and other programs. Identifying trends and opportunities, and enhancing the employee experience in these areas is vital. Furthermore, you will monitor plan performance, regulations, and market trends, and actively engage in the planning and execution of benefit initiatives.

About You
Basic Qualifications:
Deep understanding of the US healthcare marketplace and employer sponsored insurance programs (large employer experience)
Analytical skills with an ability to innovate and drive unique approaches and solutions
Experience in a strategic, analytical, or metric-driven environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in building strategic roadmaps and presenting data and proposals to senior leaders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, managing multiple deliverables across multiple teams
Ability to evaluate vendors’ ongoing performance and manage programs budgets
Expertise in data and measurement, and ability to use data to drive decision-making and program improvements
Excellent customer service skills with a consistent focus on employee education, advocacy, and program promotion. Ability to communicate both in person and through written correspondence (Slack, ServiceHub, email, etc.)
Collaborate with and provide support to other benefits team members as needed, including being available and responsive through Slack, email, and attend meetings as appropriate.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, uncertainty and change.
Expertise in Workday benefits administration, both system related and internal practice.
Intermediate level expertise in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite tools
Participate in team learning opportunities such as reading workmate communications, attending webinars, and completing additional training as needed to stay current on benefit programs
Participate in professional benefits organizations and networking groups to understand trends in our industry.
Represent Workday Benefits with professionalism, empathy, and enthusiasm.
Experience in a large high volume, fast paced environment, tech industry strongly preferred
Other Qualifications:
10 or more years experience working in benefits and managing healthcare programs
Ability to interact effectively with all senior leadership levels
Strong ability to manage horizontally (across multiple functions and company stakeholders) and vertically (up and down)
Ability to roll up information in a concise and informative manner with clear actions
Proven track record in position requiring judgment, interpersonal skills, ability to act independently with an understanding of larger picture and tie to company strategy, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while being able to inform and seek guidance to ensure alignment
