About the Role
Workday seeks a strategic Architect to drive the vision and execution of our marketing technology ecosystem. Collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, CX, IT, and Revenue Operations, you'll define and implement a best-in-class MarTech roadmap that optimizes go-to-market strategies and fuels data-driven decision making. This role requires deep understanding of MarTech landscapes, strong stakeholder management skills, and a passion for leveraging technology to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
Own the MarTech reference architecture and roadmap in alignment with our marketing strategy and the IT enterprise architecture.
Develop a process to identify and align on mid-to-longer term technology investments that are most appropriate to the GTM (leveraging capability assessment and maturity frameworks where appropriate) to develop a strategic plan or north star to influence roadmaps, resource plans, and ongoing work.
Develop a playbook and drive its adoption in use for tool evaluations and reevaluations that drive repeatability, consistency, and increases overall quality of decision making and value.
Provide architectural assurance of solution designs that touch the MarTech space to ensure architectural and engineering quality.
Own completion and maintenance of end-to-end capability documentation across the GTM/Revenue Lifecycle in partnership with other Product Managers in the team.
Develop governance artifacts and processes that drive clarity on how applications should be supported, deployed, owned, resourced and governed ongoing.
Create standardization of data between systems for measurement and analytics, and liaise with senior leadership to drive interdepartmental adoption.
Envision, design and drive enablement of modern MarTech stacks that utilize customer data to create a personalized targeted experience.
Define, document and maintain technology capability mapping and process mapping to drive efficiencies, influence priorities, and to support gap assessments for new initiatives or transformational change.
About You
Basic Qualifications
8+ years demonstrating a high degree of proficiency in designing and developing complex, high-quality enterprise solutions across on-prem, hybrid and cloud based architectures
4+ years in an architect role designing technology architectures, workflows, best practices and governance guidelines
Hands on experience in architecture and design of marketing, advertising and data platforms e.g. Adobe, Marketo, Salesforce, Google, etc.,
Understanding of holistic enterprise architecture and interplay of analytical components with enterprise foundational components
Proven experience in understanding Marketing business goals and delivering technology to support the business goals
Other Qualifications
Proven experience leading multiple successful GTM technology evaluations, including re-evaluations/replacements to existing technologies, and multi-phase projects.
Understanding of holistic enterprise architecture and interplay of data quality & analytical enablement from foundational system & technology strategy.
Experience and best practice with elevating the role of users and feedback loops into technology management practices & cross-functional operating environments.
Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills, including excellence in analytical and collaborative discussion.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
