Job Description
The Compliance Analyst will coordinate, oversee, and execute the monitoring and forensic testing of processes and controls for compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulatory standards, internal and client-directed guidelines, and contractual agreements. The analyst will review reports, risk indicators, and red flags to identify and propose corrective action.
Primarily responsible for assisting with aspects of the day-to-day administration of the regulatory compliance program. Manage aspects of departmental projects such as periodic grooming of the isolved Risk Matrix, annual compliance reviews, and procedural enhancements to comply with existing and emerging regulations impacting isolved's current and future business.
Core Job Duties
- Assist with the designing, refining, monitoring, and forensic testing of internal controls and corporate compliance procedures
- Leverage Legal and Compliance software for the execution of compliance monitoring and forensic testing
- Create and maintain compliance metrics and corporate key risk indicators, including the periodic grooming of the isolved Risk Matrix
- Develop and maintain internal isolved resources for the acquisition of data integral to the execution of forensic testing and compliance monitoring
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on establishing an annual calendar for forensic testing and monitoring
- Work with internal Legal and Compliance colleagues on remediation plans and risk neutralization after the completion of monitoring sessions or forensic tests
- Work with isolved risk management stakeholders as needed, to respond to due diligence, regulatory inquiry, examination, and insurance resource questions and inquiries
- Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
- Conduct descriptive and/or diagnostic analysis to provide actionable insight derived from both internal and external data to enable Compliance to better understand, profile, and enhance risk management and reporting requirements
- Develop a keen understanding of law and industry best practices applicable to isolved and its various business lines
- Initiate, develop, and strengthen relationships with internal/external business functions, to ensure proper communication and execution of compliance initiatives, and remain aware of the evolving legal landscape
- Identify, propose, and implement advanced analytic solutions, including automation, to help mitigate regulatory risks
- Research, analyze, and identify key data-driven insights and clearly articulate these insights in the form of actionable recommendations for compliance
- Manage departmental compliance projects as assigned, such as annual compliance testing
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Management, or related field, or equivalent business experience
- 7+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in a legal environment
- Practical knowledge of general payroll principles, government regulations, and payroll tax requirements is required
- Advanced regulatory interpretation and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset to monitor constantly changing legislation
- Ability to work independently on difficult projects with minimal supervision
- Strong relationship-building skills and an ability to work well in a team environment, both locally & globally
- Presentation skills and analytical mindset with an ability to synthesize data
- Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data accuracy when handling sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and adept at learning new software platforms.
