Role and Scope of Position:
This position manages a team of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) professionals in providing Human Resources (HR) data and information technology services to meet HR and business requirements. Ensures computer systems and processes are in place that are compatible with corporate Information Technology (IT) architecture, infrastructure and security requirements. Responsible for the Team Leads HR Operations and Service Delivery specifically in the areas of Staffing; HR Generalists; and HRIS Operations ensuring the system’s capabilities are maximized. Manages the development, coordination and implementation of information systems and services required for business and technical activities within an organization. Researches technology to improve and streamline HR processes and create manager and employee self-sufficiency. Works closely with business and IT managers and professionals to translate broad business objectives into meaningful specification and systems performance requirements and maintenance plans. Uses knowledge of business area operations to participate in, direct and/or manage projects that implement new technologies in support of business improvements. Acts as the “Keeper of the Records” for the organization responsible for the retention and accuracy of employee personnel information.
Essential Functions:

Evaluates and reviews HR, HRIS, business area and IT automation initiatives, and recommends and implements process and system improvements.

Participates in the evaluation and selection of HRIS, and occasionally corporate, system applications, which support business processes and creates system enhancement strategies for the support of new business processes, procedures and standards.

Develops maintenance strategies to ensure the HR systems are supportable and at current release levels.

Oversees the implementation, maintenance and upgrades of the Human Resources systems.

Collaborates with IT management to ensure system requirements and support levels meet the current and future needs for Human Resources.

Develops information system recommendations including business cases that explore alternative solutions.

Collaborates with software vendors and application service providers and others to ensure support in meeting the objectives of HR and the organization.

Participates in re-engineering activities and projects where HRIS knowledge and experience is needed.

Effectively establishes, implements and monitors area goals, policies, plans, standards, performance objectives and budget. Develops and recommends resource assignments to the business unit.

Effectively manages direct reports and provides leadership, development and professional growth opportunities.

Ensures SOX, HIPAA and NPI compliance.

Manages the security and access of HR data; manages support and configuration of HRIS

Manages Team Leads responsible for resolution of complex employee inquires, service requests, and HR transactional work

Works with HR Business Partners and members of the Centers of Expertise (COE) to resolve complex escalations

Leads direct reports to focus on operational excellence and management of key stakeholders

Responsible for monitoring team performance with regards to customer satisfaction and quality case management

Participates in implementing service level agreements (productivity standards) and monitoring to ensure objectives and service targets are met and support the needs of the business

Provides pulse of employee inquires to key stakeholders to include senior HR leaders, HRBPs, COEs and other functional teams within HR Operations

Uses thorough and in-depth knowledge of company structure, HR policy and procedures as well as payroll, Comp, ER and benefit internal processes to troubleshoot and resolve highly detailed and complex issues

Supports the development and maintenance of procedures/processes to ensure adherence to security policies, internal financial controls, and legal requirements

Develops and manages staff capacity and flexibility to meet customer expectations and to assure high productivity, job satisfaction and personal development
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skills:
- Requires hands-on expertise with systems development methodologies and project management. Also requires applications development and support expertise, along with excellent communications skills. Requires broad knowledge of technologies and technology issues, with experience in facilitation and negotiations. Requires knowledge of business operations and associated information systems needs.
- In depth knowledge of Human Resources transactions, including integrated Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Leave Administration, and Employee and Labor Relations processes and activities
- Demonstrated understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action
- Demonstrated capacity for leading change management efforts and bringing together a large team
- Demonstrated skill in providing superior service to customers including but not limited to HR colleagues, active employees, retirees, etc.
Education:
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, related discipline. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. Must have experience in a continuous improvement environment.
Experiences:
- Minimum of ten (10) years business and technical experience. Workforce and Workday experience preferred.
L icenses & Certifications:
- PHR or other relevant certification desirable
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing and general movement throughout the office area. Job can require driving and traveling to company locations/vendors offices to attend meetings and off-site to professional conferences/meetings

- Work includes analyzing, consulting, planning, organizing, designing, implementing, presenting, leading and coordinating. This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
