About the Team
The Field Services team brings together a diverse set of skills and experiences across professional services, functional subject-matter expertise, and sales. The Field Services team plays a critical role in connecting Workday's sales and professional services organizations. It supports subscription sales by articulating Workday's differentiated deployment approach, aligning on desired business outcomes, and structuring customers for project success.
Our objective is to serve as trusted advisors to prospects and customers. Successful candidates work as part of an account team to drive and support sales cycles, engage customers on deployment strategies, guide AI adoption, and lead complex sales processes, including developing estimates, proposals, and contracts.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Services Sales Executive within Workday’s Professional Services organization, you will lead the planning, management, and execution of Professional Services business development activities across the Workday Platform. This includes HCM, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, and Planning solutions for both acute and non-acute healthcare organizations. You will own and exceed assigned Professional Services bookings targets while simultaneously playing a key role in supporting Workday subscription sales within the Healthcare market segment.
You will partner with Workday Account Executives as a crucial member of the extended sales team. You will be responsible for articulating the value of the platform and the AI-enabled deployment methodology as important strategic differentiators.
In this role, you will leverage your consulting sales and project delivery experience to help prospects develop successful implementation plans, including resource models, timelines, and cost estimates. You will apply effective selling strategies to position Workday’s SaaS solutions and platform technologies as a modern, efficient alternative, while serving as a subject-matter expert in Workday’s deployment methodology and services portfolio. Successful candidates bring a strong consulting delivery and sales track record, demonstrate self-direction, and thrive in complex, fast-paced, matrixed sales environments.
What You’ll Do
Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs to effectively position the value of Workday’s Professional Services and deployment methodology.
Present Workday Customer Services capabilities and lead services discovery sessions across HCM, Payroll, Financials, Supply Chain, and Planning.
Build and validate Professional Services proposals and high-level project plans. Shape multi-pillar and platform deployment approaches that align with the customer’s business objectives.
Own and exceed assigned Professional Services quota. Drive services bookings and contribution while supporting Workday subscription growth.
Cultivate strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Workday Services Partners.
Assess training needs for prospective and existing customer project teams.
Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and services forecast data.
Lead, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and related contractual documentation.
Support services-related activities and events.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
6+ years of business, implementation consulting, and/or subscription sales experience with enterprise ERP solutions, including Financials, Supply Chain, and Human Capital Management.
4+ years of experience with Workday and/or comparable SaaS platforms in Financials, HCM, and Supply Chain Management.
Other Qualifications:
Quota carrying experience with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding services and/or subscription revenue targets.
Experience with Healthcare HCM, Financials, Supply Chain Management, and Planning solutions in complex provider environments.
Demonstrated success in consulting or SaaS, with deep familiarity with the Healthcare provider market.
Solid understanding of vendors, products, and services in the Enterprise application space, including awareness of emerging AI and analytics platforms.
Strong business acumen. Ability to articulate opportunities for customers to optimize costs, drive growth, improve efficiencies and increase profitability by leveraging the Workday platform.
Demonstrated business process knowledge in Financials, HCM, Supply Chain Management, and Planning.
Software as a Service project delivery experience as a Program or Project Manager, Architect, Consultant, or Functional Lead.
Proven business development skills. Ability to identify and qualify opportunities, build and advance pipeline, and drive business from both net new customers and the install base.
Strong relationship building skills. Effective communicator with the ability to foster trust and collaboration across customers, partners, and internal teams.
Proven track record in professional services sales. Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements, shape services solutions, drive customer satisfaction, and achieve bookings targets.
Exceptional consultative selling skills. Ability to discover business drivers, align value, and build consensus with both business and technical stakeholders.
Prior experience with effectively conveying the benefits of a SaaS architecture to all levels of the enterprise.
Ability to articulate how AI, automation, and analytics improve business outcomes across the modern healthcare enterprise.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
