About the Role
Phenom's Research function is looking for a Marketing Audit Specialist who is passionate about data research, analysis, and hands-on evaluation of HR technology implementations across the globe.
In this role, you'll conduct hundreds of audits and evaluations of career sites, hiring practices, and automation processes against Phenom's proprietary rubric. You'll work with large datasets to uncover trends, themes, and scoring patterns that feed into broader industry narratives. Your work will directly power personalized audit reports used by Sales to build credibility and by Marketing to drive top-of-funnel interest — as well as flagship publications like the State of Candidate Experience, State of Skills, State of High-Volume Hiring, and State of AI reports.
Beyond execution, you'll contribute to continuous process improvement — finding ways to accelerate audit delivery without compromising quality.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive audits of career sites globally, evaluating content quality, SEO visibility, design effectiveness, and messaging — while adapting methodologies to accommodate unique site structures and configurations.
- Execute end-to-end application testing using carefully crafted test profiles with real contact information to evaluate hiring automation workflows, trigger sequences, and follow-up communications. Maintain detailed documentation of each step in the candidate journey.
- Partner with Sales, Product Marketing teams to create customer-specific audits, turning data-driven insights into tools that strengthen client relationships and unlock growth.
- Build and maintain an audit methodology playbook — documenting tested approaches, analysis frameworks, and reporting guidelines to ensure consistency across sites and regions while retaining flexibility for unique scenarios.
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, talent operations, recruitment marketing, or website analytics.
- 1–2+ years of demonstrated expertise with web analytics and SEO tools
- Microsoft Excel expertise — strong command of advanced functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation) for managing large audit datasets, scoring frameworks, and reporting.
- A strong analytical mindset with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent audit projects across regions and client requirements.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while maintaining consistency with established standards.
- A genuine curiosity and drive to learn, adapt, and apply new knowledge in day-to-day work.

Nice to Have
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM, content marketing, email campaigns, social media, and marketing analytics platforms.
- Web design or UX background with an understanding of how interface design impacts conversion rates.
- Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA compliance) and their application to recruitment platforms.
Work Experience What you have done:
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, talent operations, recruitment marketing, or website analytics
- 2-3+ years of experience and demonstrated expertise with web analytics and SEO tools for recruitment use cases:
- Advanced experience with Google Analytics/GA4 for user behavior analysis
- Proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms for SEO evaluation
- Familiarity with ATS platforms (Workday, Phenom People, iCIMS, etc.) and their integration with career sites
- Strong analytical mindset, exceptionally well-organized and detail oriented, and able to manage multiple concurrent audit projects across different regions and client requirements, maintaining accurate tracking of ongoing application processes and follow-up communications over extended periods
- Demonstrated experience in turning complex data into actionable insights and recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes, while maintaining persistence to achieve comprehensive audit results even when facing technical obstacles or non-standard implementations
- Passionate about being hands-on in audit execution; comfortable with creating and managing test application profiles, and contributing to team-wide knowledge sharing about effective audit methodologies for complex scenarios
- Ability to work independently while maintaining consistency with established standards
