The People Business Partner for Marketing is a trusted partner to Workday's Marketing organization, supporting SVP, VP, and key management leaders across the function. Our mission is to apply modern, future forward talent and leadership practices that build high-performing teams, enable leaders to operate at scale, and amplify Workday's employee-first culture.

About the Role
As a Principal People Business Partner supporting the Marketing organization, you will directly partner with senior leaders to drive significant business growth and make an immediate impact. You will be part of the global HRBP team that supports Marketing and Global Commercial Organization serving as both a strategic partner and a trusted coach to your leaders.
You will keep a pulse on workforce analytics, utilizing Workday's own HCM products to turn data into meaningful, actionable insights. Your work will span org design, talent strategy, culture, and engagement — all with a focus on enabling the Marketing organization to deliver on the future of Workday.
Responsibilities:
Partner directly with SVP, VP, and senior management in Marketing as a strategic advisor, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
Lead organizational design initiatives that align people, structure, and processes to support evolving Marketing business and talent priorities
Provide hands-on executive coaching, succession planning, and leadership development for senior leaders
Analyze workforce data to create valuable, actionable insights that inform people strategy and business decisions as part of standing leadership business reviews
Orchestrate cross-functional alignment across the HR ecosystem — including Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, and Compensation — to deliver integrated solutions
Design and execute on Marketing talent strategy that delivers, measures and progresses key talent priorities.
Champion and promote the Workday People Strategy, driving awareness and commitment across the Marketing organization

Deep understanding of organizational design, with the ability to align structure, processes, and people to effectively support the Marketing organization's objectives — including restructuring teams, improving communication flow, and facilitating successful business transformations
Demonstrated Go-to-Market business acumen, with the ability to understand and interpret business situations, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities that inform thoughtful people strategies to support growth
Proven agility and adaptability in times of change — you embrace new challenges, learn from setbacks, and quickly identify a path forward, helping the organization navigate transitions with confidence and resilience
A natural bias for action balanced with long-term strategic thinking — you make timely decisions and move initiatives forward while keeping sight of scaled, sustainable outcomes for the broader organization
Outstanding communication and ability to influence, including the ability to build influential relationships with senior leadership (SVP/VP levels), guide decision-making, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams. You seamlessly transition between responsive, in-the-moment problem solving and forward-looking, strategic counsel
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, simple terms and facilitate productive conversations at all levels

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $172,800 USD - $259,200 USD
