By joining the Workday Payroll development team, you can make a positive impact on people all around the world! Our Payroll solutions are built on a single codeline through a continuous development model and methodologies, providing an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and integration capability. As part of an innovative, high functioning team, you will collaborate with other technology solution providers, product managers, and other engineers to implement innovative solutions to make the platform scale, perform and seamlessly integrate into Workday’s technologies.
About the Role
Collaborate with Product Management and other multi-functional teams to optimally deliver on a product vision/roadmap.
You will facilitate collaboration with other product and platform teams to develop new technology and capability to support new requirements and scalability challenges.
Encourage, support, and drive innovation in our products and processes
About You
Basic Qualifications:
5 years OOP software design and development experience using UML modeling.
3+ years building and managing high performing engineering teams
4 year degree in computer science or equivalent.
3+ years of experience guiding development teams using Agile development methodologies
Other qualifications:
Experience leading teams delivering large-scale, distributed, and highly concurrent systems
Experience with hiring top class engineers
Proven deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
Proven track record of ensuring that features meet requirements and partners are kept up to date throughout the development lifecycle
Energized by helping your team with career growth and personal development
Ability to learn quickly and enjoy collaboration with team
Passionate about delivering innovative technical solutions to meet client needs
Proven to be both strategic and detail oriented
Experience with UML, SaaS, XML and Integration technologies is a plus

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $148,000 USD - $222,000 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $140,600 USD - $264,000 USD
