Workday Extend empowers our customers to expand the business capabilities of Workday by building on our existing technologies. WCP App Lifecycle team is the core of Workday’s Extend platform. We build the platform that handles the lifecycle of applications in Extend. The platform governs promotion, deployment, installation of Extend apps, version management, and compiler orchestration. About the Role
Workday Extend is looking for an outstanding Test Automation Engineer to join the WCP Application Lifecycle team.
Independently designs, develops and executes test plans for complex features
Engage in both automated and manual testing of enterprise level software products.
Design, develop, and maintain automated software solutions for the WCP Application Lifecycle team
Support the tools and infrastructure for build, test, release and monitoring, focusing on developer productivity, release velocity, and product quality.
Develop automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications that run and monitor services in the public cloud.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure using build and release orchestration tools.
Coordination of production deployments, on-call production support and monitoring.
Continuously optimize and improve existing automation processes
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in automation engineering
About You
Basic Qualifications
Automation Engineer
3+ years of QA experience in writing automation, test frameworks & maintaining automated test infrastructure of SaaS and/or cloud-based applications
Highly proficient in one or more scripting and programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Python) and build tools (Gradle, Maven, SBT)
Experience with one or more of the following applications/tools: Jenkins, Terraform, Rest Assured, TestNG, JMeter, Loadrunner, Selenium
Must have prior programming experience and solid understanding of how to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies & practices
Experience in all types of testing including unit, integration, system and functional
Sr. Automation Engineer
5+ years of QA experience in writing automation, test frameworks & maintaining automated test infrastructure of SaaS and/or cloud-based applications
Highly proficient in one or more scripting and programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Python) and build tools (Gradle, Maven, SBT)
Experience with one or more of the following applications/tools: Jenkins, Terraform, Rest Assured, TestNG, JMeter, Loadrunner, Selenium
Must have prior programming experience and solid understanding of how to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of Software QA methodologies & practices
Experience in all types of testing, including unit, integration, system and functional
Other Qualifications:
Experience in container/virtualization systems such as: Docker, Kubernetes
Solid understanding of RESTful API and microservice architecture
Experience with developing, deploying automated performance tests and creating performance test plans
Nice to have performance and non-functional testing knowledge
Experience with Behavior-driven development (BDD) approach to testing software using frameworks like Cucumber a plus
Application Monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Telegraf and AWS knowledge is a plus

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $96,800 USD - $145,200 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $92,000 USD - $180,000 USD
