About the Role
The Engagement Manager will be an expert with the Workday Deployment Methodology. They will lead/manage mid to large deployments and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. They will also support executive level expectations by providing internal suggestions to management, based on field experience, as to how to potentially enhance the Workday Deployment Methodology.
The ideal candidate for this role will be in the Central time zone and have experience managing FIN projects but also have experience in HCM or Payroll.
oBecome a guide in Workday's Implementation Methodology and demonstrate it on all engagements.
oLead the implementation of 3 - 5 simultaneous projects.
oShow strength in the Workday product suite – Financials, HCM, and/or Payroll.
oAt times, participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop a proposal/SOW.
oProvide guidance and mentoring to those Professional Service resources working on their implementations.
oEnsure projects are accurately planned, staffed and tight management of scope and budget/resource forecasting.
oWork with the internal customer project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
oPresent at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
oEnsure the client takes advantage of Workday standard methodologies.
oBe a liaison for professional services when interacting with sales and/or development.
oFind opportunities to position other service offerings.
oEnsure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation.
oAssist in the transition of the customer from professional services to product support.
oEnsure the project is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
oPresent clients with change orders in the event they're asking Workday to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW.
About You
Basic Qualifications for a P3 Engagement Manager
o2+ years’ experience of project management with HCM, Payroll, or Financial implementations within medium enterprise, large enterprise, higher education and/or state and local governments.
o2+years of experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar applications.
Basic Qualifications for a P4 Senior Engagement Manager
o4+ years’ experience of project management with HCM, Payroll, or Financial implementations within medium enterprise, large enterprise, higher education and/or state and local governments.
o4+years of experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar applications.
Other Qualifications
oConsulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
oSolid grasp with at least one of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable or Services procurement.
oProject Management experience a must.Experience with Scope, managing timelines and budgets.
oExcellent communication, organization, time management, and social skills.
oPassion for customer service.
oBusiness development skills.
oKnowledge of Internet technology and cloud-based applications.
oPrevious service sales experience a plus. Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.
oAbility to travel up to 50%

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $129,000 USD - $193,400 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $116,600 USD - $207,200 USD
Additional Considerations:
If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $122,800 - $184,200 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.
