About the Team
You will join the Financial Services Industry Services Sales team, sitting at the intersection of Sales, Services, and Customer Experience.
This team acts as trusted advisors to Financial Services customers and prospects, connecting Workday’s services, partners, and platform capabilities to real deployment and value-realization outcomes.
We work closely with Account Executives, Sales Directors, Pre-sales, Value Engineering, Partners, and Customer Success to shape services strategy, differentiate Workday’s deployment approach, and set customers up for successful implementations.
The team is accountable for protecting and advancing Workday’s track record of customer satisfaction while helping drive subscription growth, services adoption, and long-term platform consumption across Financial Services.
About the Role
As a Services Executive for the Financial Services Industry, you will serve as the services and deployment sales lead on Medium Enterprise, Customer Base, Financial Services accounts. You will own the services sales strategy for your territory, helping customers understand how Workday services can support their business priorities, transformation goals, and reach desired outcomes.
In this sales-driven role, your core focus is driving services revenue by actively supporting and accelerating Workday subscription sales, while positioning and attaching Workday Professional Services through targeted opportunity identification, scoping, and deal closure.
You will use your Financial Services Industry expertise, customer-facing experience, sales experience and ability to identify and develop opportunities to position Workday’s services, methodologies to develop the best path to successful deployment. You will support complex, enterprise-level sales cycles, lead services discovery and scoping, and help create compelling proposals that connect customer priorities to deliver solutions.
You will work across direct and partner-led motions, collaborating with account teams to:
- Understand customer objectives, constraints, and risk profiles
- Identify and develop services opportunities within Financial Services accounts
- Lead the development of deployment and transformation approaches tailored to Financial Services needs
- Develop deployment solutions and negotiate services deals that set engagements up for success
- Monitor in-flight customer engagements and coordinate the right interventions from Global Services, Partners, and Customer Experience teams

- Minimum of 3 years of experience partnering with customer and internal stakeholders to support sales cycles.
Services Executive, Financial Services Industry - P3
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Financial Services Industry customers.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience identifying business opportunities within customer accounts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience partnering with customer and internal stakeholders to support sales cycles.
Other Qualifications
- Experience working across Financial Services Industry sectors, such as banking, insurance, capital markets, wealth management, payments, or fintech.
- Experience positioning professional services, consulting, deployment, transformation, or advisory offerings to customer stakeholders.
- Experience creating or supporting customer proposals, statements of work, service estimates, business cases, or account plans.
- Experience with Workday or other enterprise cloud applications, including HCM, ERP, Financials, Planning, SaaS, or related business applications.
- Experience supporting complex sales cycles involving Sales, Pre-sales, Partners, Customer Success, Services, or implementation teams.
Travel
Travel is a required element of this role. The position requires up to 25% travel, which may include daily and overnight stays.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
