Our 3-month internship program is a fantastic opportunity to gain the skills and experiences you need to kickstart a rewarding journey in data science. Data Science at Culture Amp is an inclusive practice distributed across cross-functional, lightweight agile teams, which embrace flexible work arrangements. You will be surrounded by talented data scientists, learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with them.
Our internship program is all about providing you with growth opportunities, driven by the "3 E’s of Development":
- Gain hands-on experience working with a supportive cross-functional team, setting you up for success in your tech career.
- Exposure to talented data scientists. Receive guidance from a dedicated onboarding buddy and experienced mentors, helping you navigate the world of Culture Amp and data science.
- Expand your technical and core skills through bite-sized learning activities that seamlessly support your hands-on growth.
As an intern on one of our teams, you can expect to:
- Tackle challenging data driven problems and explore solutions to inform feature building within your team.
- Collaborate with other scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers and software engineers in your team.
- Work with the product managers and designers in your team to understand customer problems and help to develop, refine, and then implement solutions.
- Produce quality documentation around research findings and recommendations.
About you
This role could be for you if:
- You are currently working toward a degree in Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics (or a related STEM field) and expect to complete it within the next year.
- You are self-motivated and can work independently. You take the initiative to ensure you have everything you need to work efficiently and call for support when required.
- You are curious, have a growth mindset and you are willing to embrace challenges.
- You are willing to learn to work with the required scientific packages that Culture Amp uses to answer research questions and develop prototypes - you are likely to find yourself working with Python and SQL.
- You are a proactive and clear communicator. You value empathy and kindness and are able to articulate your ideas and feelings when writing or speaking, and are open to the perspectives others bring.
- You are aligned with our values and demonstrate them through your working practice.
