About the Team
The Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) Tools team at Workday plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless functioning of collaboration platforms. These platforms are not only expected to be highly available but also scalable and reliable. The team's responsibility extends to creating an environment that empowers Workday development and operation teams, facilitating their ability to meticulously plan, build, and deliver services to production. By meticulously maintaining these platforms, the SRE Tools team contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and success of Workday's development and operational processes.
About the Role

Are you a creative and innovative Senior Software Engineer looking for more opportunities to automate and improve reliability? Do you enjoy building solutions to improve efficiency or reduce toil and manual effort?
As a part of the SRE Tools Team, your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to fine-tune and optimize incident response workflows, automating infrastructure, maintaining, monitoring, and administering Incident Management tools, developer tools and services deployed in the Cloud/Data Center.

About You
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in managing and administration of Incident Management and Process automation tools.
- 2+ years with one or more prominent languages such as - Python, Java, C++, Ruby, Golang.
- 2+ years of experience as a software developer supporting Developer Efficiency, Production Engineering, DevOps or equivalent roles.
- 2+ years of experience with Linux and bash scripting.
- Solid understanding of relational databases.
Other Qualifications
- Have a strong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in administration of PagerDuty, Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence.
- Experience in using configuration management frameworks and automation orchestration tools like Terraform and Chef.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience working with high availability, resilient, multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environments.
- Possess excellent analytical skills for problem solving.
- Worked in a fast-paced environment with the mentality that everything can be automated.
- Strong verbal communication skills to collaborate with global and remote teams with a diverse set of backgrounds.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $102,400 USD - $153,600 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $97,300 USD - $174,000 USD
