About the Role
Job Description
Workday Education is an innovative part of our Customer Experience (CX) organization focused on training our customers, employees and partners. We're looking for a senior marketing professional with a track record of success growing a commercial training or professional services business, ideally within a cloud software company.
You will join our education leadership team and own the marketing strategies and execution that support our substantial P&L and double-digit growth. You will regularly collaborate with our leaders of Business Development, Content, Operations and Delivery within Workday Education and across Workday with key roles in Marketing, Sales and Products.
You will combine your startup experience successfully wearing many hats and getting things done with your larger company experience successfully navigating and leveraging corporate and field functions. You are as comfortable and good at developing strategy as you are a data sheet, doing what it takes to make the most of precious time and limited resources.
You trust your well-honed instincts, know how to support them with rigorous and insightful analysis of credible data, and whenever in doubt do the work to understand and articulate what customers really think. You know how to positively speak up and be bold, challenging yourself and everyone else to realize their potential while keeping things productive and fun.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing and executing direct and indirect marketing and selling strategies and related programs that enable Workday Education to exceed their financial targets and P&L objectives
Understanding and creatively amplifying the momentum of existing offerings and programs by improving what, where, when and how we share customer success
Engaging with our customers and stakeholders to understand and clarify the need, affirm the solution, and expertly craft and communicate the corresponding story of compelling value
Collaborating with Workday Education and key leadership and specifically our business development function and global theatres to clarify and prioritize competing market opportunities, craft and test the strategies and execute and scale the programs that drive innovation and growth with urgency
Creating and/or providing direction for a wide range of content to support our internal field teams and customers (communications, presentations, promotions, collateral, etc.)
Ensuring our customers and prospective customers clearly understand and act to leverage training to make the most of their Workday offerings and investments
Ensuring success with all the above by creating clarity, urgency, and accountability via an event-driven approach to commitments.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
