Summary/objective
The Senior Strategic Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with large clients (500+ employees) while providing leadership within the Strategic Relationship Management team. This role focuses on customer retention, revenue growth, and strategic engagement, ensuring clients maximize the value of isolved's solutions. In addition to managing key accounts, the Senior Strategic Relationship Manager mentors junior team members, drives process improvements, and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance the overall client experience.
Core Job Duties
- Build and strengthen relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-level executives, through strategic consultations and regular business reviews.
- Proactively identify client needs and expansion opportunities, driving adoption of isolved's full suite of HCM solutions.
- Lead renewal negotiations, addressing potential barriers and implementing strategies to maximize contract value while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Monitor account health, identifying risks and collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions that enhance retention and client satisfaction.
- Advocate for clients within isolved, ensuring their feedback influences product development and support strategies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Strategic Relationship Managers, supporting their development and success.
- Assist in researching and resolving discrepancies, system reporting issues, and client concerns.
- Develop and deliver training content aligned with business goals and client needs.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and documentation within CRM systems.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive developments to provide clients with strategic insights.
Job Complexity
As an expert in the field, uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Anticipates broad changes pertaining to their area of expertise and ensure isolved is always ahead of the curve. Significant barriers to entry (e.g., top management review, approval) exist at this level.
Interaction
Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies. Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization.
Supervision
Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience managing strategic client relationships in a consultative sales or account management role.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, providing coaching and professional development.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience managing contract renewals and driving revenue expansion.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM and sales tracking systems.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds.
Travel Required
Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
