This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).
Workday Inc is seeking a Sr Manager of PMO to join our team and support our growing Federal business. As a change agent, you will collaborate with executive leadership, program sponsors, boundary partners, business leads, and technology teams to drive the successful implementation of large-scale, cross-organization strategic programs aimed at enterprise growth in the Federal market.
About You

We are seeking a Senior Manager to establish and lead a world-class Federal Program Management Office (PMO). In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the delivery strategy for Workday's portfolio of programs across diverse federal customers and compliance landscapes, including IL4, IL5, and Top Secret. Basic Qualifications:
This role requires candidates have an ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH CI POLYGRAPH
Must have active security clearance with polyMinimum of 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in program and/or project management, with a significant focus (5+ years) on managing large-scale, critical initiatives within the U.S. Federal Government and/or Public Sector.
Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in establishing and leading Program Management Offices (PMOs) specifically supporting technology deployments and/or software development lifecycle (SDLC) within federal environments.
Deep understanding of federal government business models, procurement processes, and compliance requirements, including experience navigating security frameworks such as FedRAMP and specific Impact Levels (IL4, IL5).
Proven track record of successfully leading the delivery of SaaS product development and deployment projects within cloud environments for Intelligence Community (IC) and/or Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and the ability to apply them appropriately based on project needs and federal requirements.
Experience managing projects with stringent security and compliance mandates, including knowledge of relevant security controls and authorization processes.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Other Qualifications :
Experience managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions within secure cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government), with a focus on U.S. citizenship, US Person, and cleared resource-based access controls.
Familiarity with Workday's suite of products and implementation methodologies.
Experience managing programs involving cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, sales, and customer success.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO).
Strong technical savvy with a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, security principles, and software development practices.
Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within complex organizational structures.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $183,100 USD - $274,700 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $165,700 USD - $294,400 USD
