About the Team
Workday is seeking a strategic, creative, and technically savvy Head of Broadcast and Digital Event Production to lead the planning, production, and delivery of live broadcast experiences for our flagship events, including Workday Rising. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and audience engagement—bringing our brand to life for global viewers through compelling, seamless live and recorded productions.
You’ll be responsible for the broadcast strategy end-to-end: from partnering in close collaboration with Corporate Communications to define creative concepts and scripting, to supervising production teams and ensuring flawless live execution. You’ll collaborate across internal teams (brand, comms, product marketing, Workday studio, and events) and external vendors to build dynamic, high-quality broadcasts that inspire, inform, and connect the Workday community around the world.
About the Role
Lead the strategy, creative development, and execution of Workday’s flagship event broadcasts, with a primary focus on Workday Rising North America, Rising EMEA, and Workday DevCon; and Workday’s growing portfolio of digital-first events.
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external broadcast partners to create custom broadcast solutions for each event, considering both technical and creative aspects.
Develop and lead budgets for broadcast operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high production quality.
Partner with Corporate Communications to craft broadcast narratives, segment content, and on-screen messaging.
Lead internal and external production teams, including live technical crew, show callers, directors, writers, and editors.
Lead all aspects of run-of-show creation, scripting, and rehearsals to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
Ensure technical infrastructure and contingency plans are in place for all live stream elements.
Collaborate closely with the Digital Experiences, Workday Studio, and Events teams to ensure flawless integration with in-person event programming.
Drive audience engagement strategy for remote viewers, including interactive elements, pre/post shows, and social media tie-ins.
Track performance metrics and viewer feedback to continuously improve future broadcasts.
Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies, proactively introducing innovative solutions that improve the broadcast experience for both live audiences and remote viewers.
Evaluate new broadcast tools, software, and platforms to improve broadcast efficiency and creativity.
Promote best practices in live event broadcasting, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to industry standards.
About You
Basic Qualifications
12+ years demonstrated experience producing large-scale live broadcasts, ideally for enterprise events, tech conferences, or media networks.
Direct experience in producing large live event Keynote production
Deep understanding of broadcast production workflows, livestream platforms, A/V technologies, and hybrid event strategies.
Proven experience leading complex, high-profile productions from concept to execution.

Creative storyteller with a sharp eye for visual pacing, tone, and audience engagement.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and navigating ambiguity.

A passion for metrics and data to influence decisions; experience using reporting/dashboard tools

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
