About the Team
The oCFO Product Strategy team is part of the oCFO Product Management organization, within Product & Technology. We partner with Product Managers, Sales, Services, Corporate Strategy, Workday Ventures, and the Global Partner Organization to identify and solve the most significant problems in our global markets. oCFO Products: Workday Financial Management, Workday Spend, Workday Adaptive Planning.
About the Role
Reporting to the Vice President of oCFO Product Strategy, you will be an authority on Finance, Finance Transformation and the evolving needs of Finance organizations and will play a critical role in shaping our product market strategy. Your detailed knowledge of the competitive software landscape will help prioritize Workday’s product roadmap align to these emerging strategic needs.
You will collaborate closely with the other Product Strategists, Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales and Partners to help define and refine the Go-to-Market positioning and commercial offering for oCFO solutions. You will contribute to messaging, content creation and be expected to deliver executive level presentations to C-Suite customers during the sales process, at customer engagements or at marketing events.
You will provide Executive-level support for the SVP oCFO Product Management, assisting with the creation and delivery of presentations suitable for C-Suite Executives on demand. It is expected that travel to the Boulder office will be required on an ad-hoc basis and to other global destinations on occasion.
About You
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven proficiency in using data-driven analysis to support executive decision-making and will partner with Corporate Strategy and Workday Ventures to refine areas of strategic product interest. You will identify market opportunities and determine the appropriate Workday response and strategy required to compete successfully in our chosen markets.
You enjoy the challenge of taking ambiguous problems and working with a cross-functional team to craft and deliver innovative approaches to difficult problems. You will have a deep understanding of Finance, experience of ERP implementations and a detailed understanding of the oCFO software landscape.
An understanding of Workday Financial Management, Adaptive Planning and Spend Management would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
Basic Qualifications
15+ years of experience in Product Strategy, Consulting or in a senior Finance role, with the commensurate qualifications (CPA, MBA etc.)
Detailed knowledge of Finance, Financial business processes, Finance Transformation and the ERP landscape, covering all oCFO functional domains (Financials, Spend, Planning)
Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to easily and intuitively adapt content and messaging to various audiences
Other Qualifications
An understanding of Workday Financial Management, Adaptive Planning and Spend Management would be a distinct advantage, although not essential
A highly motivated, self-starting, leader who is adept at solving tough problems and effective at communicating solutions that gain support from a wide range of stakeholders
Comfortable addressing senior management at Workday, executives in the wider ecosystem and on stage in front of large audiences
Enjoys using data to identify problems and develop solutions, whilst working with ambiguity on constantly evolving initiatives

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
