Responsibilities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams- Product Management, Agile Engineering, and others — in an iterative, transparent, and feedback-oriented design and development process to distill high-level requirements into product experiences and AI solutions that align with business objectives and customer outcomes.
- Create and develop thoughtful and appropriate design solutions by translating research insights into engaging user experiences and identifying opportunities for AI integration and improvement within existing systems.
- Remain informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance our product experience and AI capabilities.
- Utilize and contribute to iCIMS' Design System through the identification and formalization of user interface patterns and page layouts.
- Create and develop highly detailed, annotated user workflows, wireframes, pixel-perfect mock-ups, and prototypes for product, sales, and agile engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of fundamental UX and UI design principles, industry trends, best practices, AI technologies, and agile and research methodologies.
- Test and validate user experiences and AI designs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in real-world applications.
- Communicate and present user experience concepts, AI-based solutions, and UX strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advocate on behalf of our users and illustrate thought leadership around UX and UI methodologies throughout the organization.
- Facilitate workshops, gather research and data, and conduct competitive analysis to understand our users’ needs and the problems we are solving.
- Iterate on process and procedure with the Design Manager and other senior members of the UX team.
- Consistently ensure that business is frictionless, always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with iCIMS policies, procedures, and core competencies.
Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of UX and UI experience, with at least 2 years of software experience.
- A strong portfolio featuring examples of UI and UX work backed by research.
- Must have experience working with Agile methodologies and a strong understanding of software and product development lifecycles.
- A solid understanding of AI and ML Fundamentals.
- Exposure to AI interface patterns and emerging best practices for AI-powered features (including Responsible, transparency, and explainable AI).
- Awareness of how different AI models (like LLMs, computer vision, or recommendation systems) might impact user experience.
- A curiosity and an ability to learn from and speak with AI technical experts about emerging technologies.
- Proficiencies with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figjam, Miro, or other relevant design tools.
- Experience utilizing and contributing to a Design System to ensure a holistic product experience.
- Ability to work with Front-end UI Developers to ensure design standards are met and maintained.
- Understanding of best practices for responsive, adaptive, and web-based design, and SaaS software.
- Knowledge of Accessibility standards.
- Own projects end-to-end from understanding users to working with software engineers.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative design workshops and surveys during discovery and design to inform product decisions.
- Create and track feature and product KPIs in partnership with a product. An understanding of user telemetry tools to measure adoption and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in team reviews/critiques at various stages of the product development life cycle and know how to receive and deliver constructive criticism.
- Strong written and communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Able to provide estimates and meet deadlines.
- Must have a good work ethic and attitude towards evolution, acceptance of 'failures', the ability to move on, and iterate quickly.
- The ability to think holistically about UI/UX and educate others on design best practices.
