About the Team
The New Offer Launch (NOL) team commercializes new sources of revenue at Workday, developing product and service offers, solutions enabled through partnerships, or expansion of our target markets. The NOL team partners across all Workday business functions to define the business strategy and then drive action to position new businesses to scale. As the volume and complexity of Workday’s product & offering portfolio grows, we are partnering with more key business and operations functions, including Product, Finance, Sales, Partners, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Business Technology (IT) team to make foundational improvements to our operations to accelerate speed to market and scale new business models.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Principal Program Manager to lead the enablement of commerce capabilities in our Marketplaces. This critical role will involve driving the strategy, execution, and optimization of programs that allow our customers to seamlessly discover, procure, and manage our SaaS solutions from Workday’s Marketplace. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful marketplace listings, effective GTM strategies, and a smooth end-to-end customer purchasing experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Marketplace Commerce Strategy: Define and drive the roadmap for enabling and scaling commerce capabilities across various cloud marketplaces. This includes private offers, transactable listings, and subscription management.
Cross-Functional Program Leadership: Lead and coordinate complex, cross-functional programs from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables across product, engineering, sales, marketing, legal, finance, and operations.
Marketplace Integration and Operations: Oversee the technical and operational aspects of integrating our SaaS offerings with cloud marketplace platforms, including listing creation, offer setup, billing integration, and fulfillment processes.
Go-To-Market (GTM) Enablement: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations to develop and implement GTM strategies for cloud marketplace channels.
Stakeholder Management & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all cloud marketplace commerce initiatives. Effectively communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish reporting mechanisms to track the success of marketplace commerce programs. Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes for efficiency and revenue growth.
Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with cloud marketplace commerce; develop and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all marketplace policies and B2B SaaS best practices.
Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with cloud marketplace providers to stay abreast of new features, opportunities, and best practices.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
8+ years of experience enabling and managing commerce capabilities on cloud marketplaces.
8+ years of professional experience with B2B SaaS business models, sales cycles, and customer procurement processes.
Proven experience with CRM (e.g., Salesforce), PRM, and Workday Financials.
Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Other Qualifications:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience with Agile and/or other project management methodologies.
Deep understanding of cloud marketplace offer workflows and co-sell motions.
Experience with API integrations and understanding of technical requirements for marketplace listings.
Knowledge of B2B e-commerce principles and best practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
