Director, Marketing Events
Summary
The Director, Marketing Events is responsible for leading isolved's event strategy and execution, delivering engaging, branded experiences for customers, partners, analysts, and internal teams. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Marketing, this individual plays a key role in translating business strategy into purposeful event programs that build community, elevate the brand, and drive audience engagement.
This leader will oversee a diverse portfolio of in-person and hybrid events, manage an experienced team, and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Enablement. The ideal candidate is a resourceful and relationship-driven event strategist with a passion for delivering standout experiences and a commitment to operational excellence.
Core Job Duties
- Lead the planning and execution of isolved's event portfolio, ensuring all events are aligned with business objectives and brand standards
- Oversee execution of customer, partner, analyst, and internal events-including large-scale conferences and targeted field programs
- Manage all event logistics, vendor relationships, budget planning, contracts, and timelines to ensure seamless execution
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience teams to define event goals, messaging, and content strategy
- Work with internal creative, communications, and demand generation teams to support promotional strategies and campaign alignment
- Manage relationships with external agencies and production vendors, ensuring quality and consistency in all deliverables
- Lead, coach, and develop the events team, providing clear direction, hands-on support, and continuous feedback
- Establish event KPIs and reporting frameworks to evaluate success, identify improvements, and optimize future programs
- Incorporate feedback and engagement trends to evolve event strategy and improve audience experience
Job Complexity
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Supervision
Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area, typically through several department managers within the company. Strong understanding of people management strategies and how to develop leaders in their function to be successful. Builds and supports high functioning, motivated teams. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.
Scope
Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives. Able to lead and support their function while continually achieving impact and improvements across all areas.
Discretion
Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in event marketing or event management, preferably in a B2B technology environment
- 3+ years of experience leading people or cross-functional project teams
- Proven success in managing large-scale and hybrid events from strategy through execution
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects with agility and attention to detail
- Experience with event tools such as Swoogo, HubSpot, Sugar CRM, or equivalent platforms
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and deliver measurable impact through events
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Travel Required
Yes, up to 50% domestic travel may be required.
