SUMMARY
The Senior HRIS Specialist plays a key role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This individual serves as a subject matter expert and project lead for HRIS-related initiatives, ensuring data integrity, optimizing system functionality, and supporting HR processes through technology solutions. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and deliver system-based solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Maintain and administer the HRIS (UKG), ensuring data integrity, system functionality, and efficiency.
Partner and collaborate with HR, IT, Payroll, and other departments to support and improve HR systems and processes.
Create and maintain HRIS documentation, including process workflows, user manuals, and training materials.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and workflows, and suggesting automation or integration solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS-related issues and respond to user inquiries in a timely manner.
Train HR team members and other end-users on HRIS functionality and best practices.
Stay current on HRIS trends and best practices to recommend improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor-s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required from four-year college or university and five+ years of experience with one or more HRIS platforms, preference with UKG.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Strong understanding of HR processes (i.e., recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance management). Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced Excel skills and experience with data reporting tools.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Helpful, but not required; PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SCP.
