How you can help make a better world of work
Culture Amp is seeking an exceptional Lead Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team and drive financial performance, strategic planning, and commercial insight across the business.
This high-impact role represents a unique opportunity to elevate financial partnership and acumen in a leading SaaS organization, working directly with our Product (Engineering, Product Management, Design, Data) and Operations practices. You’ll be integral to our mission of transforming work for every employee globally.
You will be seen as a true partner to your stakeholders - supporting, educating, and empowering them through actionable insight, scenario modelling, and best-practice reporting. Your commercial acumen and stakeholder management will help shape critical decisions, influence strategy, and foster a culture of financial excellence across the organization.
You will
- Provide best-in-class business partnering and commercial support to stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and related operational functions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your group, ensuring accurate visibility, alignment to business objectives, and proactive recommendations.
- Own monthly performance reporting, actively review the P&L for accuracy, and surface key metrics, insights, and risks to leadership.
- Conduct scenario modelling, commercial analysis, and ad-hoc requests to assess impacts on financial direction and product strategy.
- Educate and influence stakeholders, translating complex financials into meaningful, actionable insights for non-finance audiences.
- Drive improvements to reporting, data quality, financial processes, and efficiency initiatives - helping build scalable playbooks where none exist.
- Partner closely with the VP Commercial Finance, CFO, FP&A team, fellow Leads, and cross-functional teams, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
- Utilize Culture Amp’s finance tech stack, including Sheets/Excel, Netsuite, and Workday Adaptive for insights, planning and forecasting.
You have
- 5+ years’ experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or FP&A
- Proven track record of business partnering with senior stakeholders (e.g. Product, Engineering, Operations), providing commercial analysis, business case support, and strategic planning in a dynamic business context.
- Advanced analytical skills, high attention to detail, and comfort “rolling up your sleeves” in ambiguous, unstructured environments.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to bring numbers to life for non-finance audiences.
- Ability to navigate data challenges and drive improvements with limited existing playbooks.
- A collaborative, curious, and growth-focused mindset, ready to make a meaningful impact on Culture Amp’s financial evolution.
- Confidence using Sheets/Excel (G-suite), and ability to refine and automate routine processes.
- (Bonus points for) Experience with Netsuite, and/or Workday Adaptive; experience with reporting and data visualization tools a plus.
- (Bonus points for) CPA or CA qualification; other relevant credentials considered.
- (Bonus points for) Fluency with key SaaS operating metrics (e.g. ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, NRR), data-driven thinking, and financial scenario modelling.
You are
- A proactive and trusted partner - excited to work closely across functions and help stakeholders understand how their actions drive commercial outcomes.
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working with ambiguity and across competing priorities.
- Passionate about continuous improvement, team culture, and doing what’s right for the business.
- A strong communicator, analytical thinker, and confident influencer.
- Motivated to develop your expertise in SaaS/Tech finance - and share that knowledge to amplify others.
