Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: ASAP -- June 30, 2026
Pay Rate: $50-$60/hour DOE
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst to join our HR team. This role is responsible for managing payroll and time tracking systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and optimizing HRIS processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert for UKG Dimensions and UKG Pro, driving system configuration, process improvements, and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain UKG Dimensions (timekeeping, attestation, pay rules, accruals, scheduling) and UKG Pro (HR, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Talent)
- Configure complex union pay rules including grandfathering and pension rules
- Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll/labor law changes
- Develop and execute audit programs and system controls for wage & hour, attendance, tax, and compliance
- Monitor/troubleshoot integrations and data feeds between Dimensions and Pro
- Ensure accurate time & attendance data flow to payroll
- Assess processes, map divisions, recommend and implement improvements/standardization
- Lead full HRIS project lifecycle: requirements, process mapping, configuration, parallel/regression/UAT testing, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support
- Establish KPIs and performance criteria for payroll and time-tracking processes
- Design reports, dashboards, and analytics using Cognos and Dimensions Data Hub; analyze workforce trends
- Create training materials, job aids, compliance training, and deliver end-user support
- Provide daily production support and rapid defect resolution
- Liaise with UKG and other vendors for support and enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Payroll/HRIS emphasis preferred)
- 6+ years progressive payroll and HRIS experience
- Expert-level UKG Dimensions and UKG Pro configuration/administration
- Proven experience configuring union rules and compliance controls
- Deep knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws (federal/state/local), and regulatory changes
- Strong HRIS project management and system integration experience
- Proficiency with Cognos and Dimensions Data Hub reporting
- Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- UKG Pro advanced configuration.
- Cognos reporting expertise.
- SQL and Boomi integration experience.
