Job Title: Senior HRIS Analyst – Workday
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (Full-Time)
Location: Fully Remote (US-based)
Summary
The Senior HRIS Analyst will serve as the primary technical owner and administrator of the Workday HCM, Benefits, and Compensation modules. This role is responsible for day-to-day system administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of the Workday platform while partnering closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the technical expert for Workday HCM, Benefits, and Compensation, applying industry best practices

Lead configuration, design, and implementation of complex Workday projects to ensure system scalability and optimization

Manage security, business process workflows, tenant settings, and all administrative functions across HCM, Benefits, and Compensation

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly and effectively

Manage Workday feature releases, upgrades, and quarterly enhancements

Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within Workday

Provide high-quality end-user support and deliver training to HR teams and business users

Translate business and system requirements into detailed enhancement proposals and implementation plans

Perform QA testing, create test scripts, and manage bug resolution

Define integration requirements with IT and external vendors

Evaluate and test system upgrades to ensure smooth adoption with minimal business disruption

Maintain comprehensive system documentation, process flows, and user guides

Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Deep expertise in Workday configuration, security, business processes, reporting, and integrations

Strong understanding of core HR processes, policies, and best practices

Proven experience with Workday Reporting (including custom reports and dashboards) and Integrations

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills

Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-changing environment

Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with attention to detail

Comfortable working with global, cross-functional stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Workday administration experience with strong expertise in HCM, Benefits, and Compensation modules

Demonstrated global HRIS/Workday experience required

Previous experience supporting a multi-country or global organization strongly preferred
