Overview
Reporting to the HRIS Director, the Lead HRIS Benefits Analyst will serve as the primary internal expert on Oracle HCM benefits functionality, providing guidance and support to Benefits and payroll teams. This role serves as the Oracle HCM Benefits SME, supporting Absence Management, Workforce Structures (MTL), and outsourced benefits plans. Guide colleagues on system functionality, data accuracy, and reporting best practices. Collaborate on benefits projects, analytics, and ad hoc reporting to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable benefits data and insights.
Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the internal subject matter expert on all benefits and leave programs, including paid leave, parental leave, and other state-mandated programs.

Investigate and resolve complex benefits or payroll-related issues in a timely manner to ensure plans are accurately maintained.

Stay current on federal and state regulatory updates and interpret their impact on the process.

Partner with the Benefits team to proactively identify, plan, and execute updates to state leave programs.

Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Finance teams to implement process improvements, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure operational efficiency.

Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams on benefits compliance requirements.
Education and Experience:

Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Area of Study: Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems

Minimum Years of Experience: 7

Type of Experience:

Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Benefits module, including system configuration, fast formulas and technical troubleshooting of internal and external benefits interfaces Time & attendance management.

Strong understanding of HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.

Familiarity with federal and state leave regulations and compliance requirements
-
Experience with Reporting & Analytics tools (e.g., FDI, OTBI, Cognos, PowerBI, etc.) to monitor leave utilization, accruals, and compliance metrics and experience leveraging data to support fact-based decisions. Experienced in managing system updates, conducting unit testing, and ensuring system accuracy for benefits programs.

Ability to design and implement process improvements in HR and benefits operations

Expert Excel skills with strong proficiency in MS Office applications - Word, Access, and PowerPoint

Special Certifications: Oracle HCM Cloud Certification

Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Strong technical competence with extensive experience transforming complex business problems and processes into simple technical solutions.

Skills & Abilities:

Implementation or strong working knowledge of HRIS/ATS/LMS systems from Oracle HCM Cloud or Workday

Strong software integration experience

Experience in improving HRIS and related systems

Additional Language Skills: Must speak and understand English fluently

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $90,300/year to $149,900/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
