Brief Job Overview
We are seeking a contract HR Operations / HRIS Coordinator to provide immediate support for critical HR operational activities during a transition period. This role ensures continuity of employee lifecycle transactions, HR workflows, and data accuracy within our HR systems.
This is a hands‑on, execution‑driven role that supports day‑to‑day HR operations in close partnership with the existing HR team. The position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week on‑site at our Rockville, Maryland headquarters and two days remote. This is a four‑month contract assignment.

The HR / HRIS Operations Coordinator (CONTRACTOR), has the following responsibilities:
HRIS & Employee Lifecycle Transactions

Process employee lifecycle events in HRIS (UKG), including:

Terminations and separations
-
Job changes (title, cost center, manager updates, etc.)

Promotions and role designation updates
-
Upload and maintain employee documentation in HR systems
-
Ensure data accuracy and compliance across all transactions
Exit & Offboarding Administration
-
Initiate and manage offboarding workflows
-
Administer exit survey distribution and tracking
-
Prepare and send offboarding materials to employees and managers
-
Support documentation for separation agreements
HR Workflow & Inbox Management
-
Monitor and triage key HR operational inboxes (e.g., HR Docusign, promotions, separations)
-
Route and respond to requests based on defined processes
-
Track and manage high-volume requests to ensure timely completion
Reporting & Payroll Support

Generate and distribute standard HR reports (from UKG/BI tools)
-
Prepare recognition/milestone data for payroll processing
-
Support HR team with data pulls and basic reporting needs

Basic Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS, or shared services

Hands-on experience with HR systems (UKG strongly preferred; Workday, SAP, etc. acceptable)

Ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment

Compensation
Base Hourly Range: USD $41.39 – $52.53 per hour.
