This role is in the Workday Global Digital Marketing team and will play a significant role in the mission to drive personalized and connected experiences that engage audiences and accelerate business outcomes. This role and the team are in the broader Global Field & Go to Market team who drive integrated marketing plans to generate demand in the markets we serve across the globe.

About the Role
As the Principal Digital Marketing Manager, Marketplace, you will be the driving force behind the global digital presence and growth of the Workday Marketplace. You will own the end-to-end digital marketing strategy, web experience, and digital customer journey, ensuring a world-class experience that attracts, engages, and converts users into valuable App ARR. This is a high-impact role where you'll collaborate closely with partner, product, marketing, strategy, and sales teams, leveraging your expertise to shape and optimize the Marketplace into a key driver of business growth. You will be a vital member of a dynamic and empowered cross-functional team, contributing directly to strategic recommendations and delivering exceptional digital experiences.
About You
Responsibilities:
Own and drive the global web strategy for the Workday Marketplace, aligning with business objectives defined in collaboration with Partner, Strategy, Sales, and Marketing teams. This includes setting clear goals, developing comprehensive plans, and ensuring consistent execution.
Lead the optimization of the Workday Marketplace web experience and digital customer journey, working closely with multiple stakeholders to drive digital engagement that will result in Workday software and Partner app sales, and Partner generated revenue.
Map and analyze customer journeys across Workday's websites, including Community, and other digital touchpoints to identify opportunities for seamless integration.
Collaborate closely with the UX team to translate strategic insights into innovative and user-centric designs, from initial wireframes to detailed requirements and final Figma designs. Partner with Global Partners, Web Marketing and the MarTech teams to successfully implement and launch these designs.
Establish and utilize robust web analytics and behavioral data to measure the effectiveness of the web experience. Leverage these insights to drive continuous optimization, A/B testing, and targeted personalization strategies for maximum impact.
Partner strategically with cross-functional Partner, Product & Marketing teams to develop integrated digital demand generation programs for the Workday Marketplace across various channels, including social media, display advertising, SEO/PPC, video, and email.
Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and key results (KRs), ensuring regular management reporting and operational reviews are focused on data-driven insights and actionable outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of digital marketing experience
6+ years of experience in any of the following: web experience journeys, personalization, SEO, PPC, display, programmatic, social media, email, chat, etc.
2+ years of Marketing experience with an App Marketplace
Other Qualifications
Familiarity with content management systems, analytics tools, project management software, and marketing automation systems (Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Workfront, Marketo, etc).
Ability to identify and adapt to changing audience behavior.
Shown success in collaborating with multiple matrixed teams to analyze, respond to, and effectively address various business needs and challenges, from marketing performance to internal operations and process refinement.
Ability to work and excel in highly matrixed organizations.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Digital demand generation experience is desirable.
Enterprise software and/or B2B experience is a plus.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
