About the Team
This Application Support Engineer at Workday will be a part of the GTM (Go-To-Market) Salesforce Platform team who works in close partnership with our business partners to help fuel growth and revenue goals for Workday, along with driving outstanding Customer and employee experiences. Our team enables continuous improvements to the application and supports our Marketing, Sales, Services, PRM, Support, Finance and Legal business partners; responsibilities include responding to service requests, impact of Salesforce updates across the platform, platform health, incidents and improvements and driving automation to improve efficiency in business processes. The right candidate has deep technical experience in all the capabilities and functionalities of the Salesforce.com platform and a proven track record of driving standard methodologies and processes.
About the Role
Responsibilities Include
Technical:
Software Application Troubleshooting at Application, Database, Network & Integration layers
Design review, code review, Code vulnerabilities, Security enablement
Software Application Development (Bug Fixes & Enhancements) on the Salesforce platform using Object Oriented design methodologies and Salesforce technologies- Apex, LWC, Apex Triggers, Salesforce Integrations, APIs on
Salesforce Administration of the Salesforce environment; responsibilities include customizing and implementing profiles, roles, security settings, sharing rules, applications, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflow, validation rules, approvals, dashboards, reports, etc.
Develop monitoring systems for the critical Salesforce Platform business workflows to preempt issues and resolve.
Lead and deliver Automation of tasks/service requests.
Develop expertise of Workday Go-To-Market business applications end-to-end
Develop domain expertise of Workday’s Enterprise Applications including Integrations.
Platform health and Salesforce security
Process:
Application support for customer communities and Partner communities
Perform trend analyses and develop action plans for improving SLAs and reducing incidents volume and problems.
Incident troubleshooting, resolution, and technical root cause analysis to address the problem permanently.
Identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues, and opportunities related to Salesforce platform.
Document, maintain standardization, and look for ways to constantly improve processes & procedures.

About You
Basic Qualifications
5+ years in Salesforce Software Application Support OR 5+ years in Salesforce Software Application Development
Bachelor's with 5+ years of experience OR MS with 3+ years in Computer Science or Information Technology
Other Qualifications:
Ensure the security of custom code by following standard processes for sharing, field-level security, and user permissions.
Salesforce’s newest features and capabilities, including new releases, to utilise the latest platform advancements.
Deep technical knowledge of enterprise software application development and enterprise application integrations (Salesforce, Conga, MuleSoft/SnapLogic)
Hands on experience troubleshooting technical issues on Salesforce platform end-to-end (Application, Database, Network & Integration layers)
Knowledge of IT service management tools and standard methodologies (preferred)
Self-motivated, flexible, teammate with proven multi-tasking, time management & organization expertise with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities.
Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve sophisticated problems as well as provide documentation, mentorship and instruction to users. Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions.
Professional Certifications:
Salesforce Certified App Builder / Salesforce Certified Administrator (Required)
Salesforce Certified Developer (Preferred)
Enterprise Integrations (MuleSoft/SnapLogic) (Preferred)
ITIL Foundation Certification (Preferred)

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $120,600 USD - $181,000 USD
