Cyber Security Analyst II
Summary/objective
The Cyber Security Analyst II will play an important role on the Cyber Security team in helping to protect our digital infrastructure and data assets. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in cybersecurity who's ready to take on more complex challenges, contribute to incident response, and support the development of secure systems and practices.
Core Job Duties
- Assess the cybersecurity posture of vendors, partners, and service providers to ensure alignment with isolved security standards and regulatory requirements
- conduct risk assessments,
- review security documentation (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, penetration test reports)
- identify potential vulnerabilities
- collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate third-party risks.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation efforts
- Support the implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure secure system configurations
- Assist in audits and compliance efforts (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Maintain documentation of security incidents, investigations, and outcomes
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices

Experience
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, RMF)
- Experience in conducting third-party risk assessments, including reviewing security questionnaires, certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), and audit reports.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to professionally and effectively interact with internal stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, equally effective working autonomously or as part of a cross-functional team.
Nice to have
- Experience with GRC tools or vendor risk management platforms
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
- CISSP Associate or other relevant credentials
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Minimal travel may be required.
