Job Description
The Senior Director, Finance maximizes the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll, and risk management.
Core Job Duties
- Partner with leaders across the company to enable and leverage ROI-driven decision-making
- Lead cross-functional partnerships and be a strategic and trusted financial advisor to functional unit heads, developing a deep understanding of how the respective business units operate
- Provide business operations leadership and guidance to functional unity heads around strategic financial decisions
- Solve complex business problems through the use of analytics and business judgment
- translate key business insights into action to drive value creation
- Build analytical frameworks, forecasts, and dashboards to track key metrics and support smart and quick decision-making across and within the team
- Conduct rigorous analyses of financial performance across business units and product lines and provide data-driven insights for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Develop tools, processes, and communication touchpoints to support transparency
- Establish tools and timelines to ensure budgets are accurate and comprehensive
- Identify and develop revenue diversification opportunities through market and business analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in both excel and cloud-based planning tools
- 7+ years' experience in finance, preferably strategic or operational finance roles
- High-growth SaaS/Software experience
- Experience supporting organizational change management and data management processes
- Deep understanding of finance and financial business drivers
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate well-defined plans and solutions into action
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster a shared understanding of the direction of the business
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations
