HRIS Implementation Manager
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization that has recently made a strategic decision to adopt a new HRIS platform, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group). We are looking for an experienced HRIS Implementation Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, migration, and go-live of this HRIS system. While our client has engaged a vendor team to support this process, the HRIS Implementation Manager will serve as the primary point of contact, overseeing all aspects of the implementation.
Job Description:
As the HRIS Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of the UKG HRIS platform, ensuring it aligns with the organization's needs and objectives. You will play a pivotal role in managing change, facilitating training, and working closely with the vendor team to ensure a seamless transition. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HRIS implementations, strong project management skills, and excellent communication abilities. While experience with UKG and Paycom is advantageous, candidates with expertise in other HRIS systems will be considered, provided they possess the technical acumen to understand the nuances of implementation and data migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for the HRIS implementation, serving as a liaison between the organization and the vendor team.
Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Lead the change management process to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
Oversee data migration, data mapping, and data quality checks to guarantee accurate and complete information in the new HRIS.
Collaborate with the vendor team to configure and customize the HRIS to meet the organization's specific needs.
Develop and deliver training programs for end-users, HR staff, and management to ensure proficiency with the new system.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and take proactive steps to address challenges.
Implement best practices in HRIS implementation and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring the timely delivery of services and solutions.
Communicate project status and updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in HRIS implementation, with a strong understanding of HRIS systems and their functionality.
Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and Paycom is highly desirable, but expertise with other HRIS platforms is acceptable.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Strong change management experience, with the ability to facilitate organizational transitions effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Adept at vendor management and contract negotiation.
Senior-level candidates with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience preferred.
