In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines, storage systems and analytics solutions to support our organization’s data-driven decision-making processes. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to understand data requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Optimize and enhance the performance of our data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting.
- Implement and maintain data governance and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Expertise in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and associated services like S3, Redshift, BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and schema design principles.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools like dbt.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau etc.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Compensation and BenefitsThe target total compensation for this role is $111,000. Compensation will be based upon experience.
