Job Description
The Director, Cloud Operations, will oversee the efficient functioning of cloud computing systems. Responsibilities include managing the cloud operations team, ensuring high system availability and performance, and driving continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and services. The Director will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations within isolved's cloud environment.
Core Job Duties
- Create and execute effective cloud strategies to optimize cloud performance and security that are aligned with isolved strategic business goals
- Lead a team of engineers to ensure reliability and efficient operation of all systems
- Identify areas for improvement within the cloud environment and collaborate effectively with peers across the business to develop plans and execute the improvements
- Provide architectural guidance to multiple development teams as they drive projects from inception to production deployment with a strong focus on performance and quality
- Establish, document, and implement the guidance and best practices that make up the isolved coding standards
- Assist in tracking down production issues and responding to support cases
- Review and identify performance issues, and provide direction and strategies for resolving them
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years progressive experience in large, complex information systems with a strong background in cloud services
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Ability to work independently to research and solve complex problems
- Proficiency in cloud operations, IT service management, data center management, server and storage management, virtualization, networking, and systems management
- Familiarity with ITIL, PCI-DSS, SAE16, ISO27001, Cobit, and/or HIPAA
- 5+ years developing cloud native applications
