Job Description
The isolved Manager, Product Engineering, will oversee the activity of software engineering resources within the Development organization. This includes staffing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of coding standards and practices for isolved products throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position will directly supervise 1 to 3 scrum teams of software engineers.
Core Job Duties
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains software engineering staff.
- Conducts weekly or bi-weekly one-on-ones with reports.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicates coding standards and parameters to QA, product development, and product management teams.
- Provide mentorship and practical development advice to team members.
- Ensure best practices, including writing unit tests and performing code reviews.
- Analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems and recommends and facilitates solutions.
- Participates in code development, as necessary.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5+ years of experience in the software development field
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience managing development teams and processes using Agile methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps (or other software project management tools), Visual Studio, and other related development tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft development technologies, including .NET and Azure services.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of direct experience, with 1+ years of management experience.
- Experience delivering Human Capital Management software
- Experience delivering SaaS-based solutions
- Computer Related or Business degree preferred
