Position Overview
The HR Systems Analyst serves as the primary owner of Workday Core HCM, supporting supervisory organizations, locations, and other foundational configurations that drive downstream HR and Talent processes. The role is responsible for maintaining system integrity, supporting staffing and Recruiting touchpoints, and delivering Core HCM reporting and enhancements that enable accurate, reliable workforce data. The functional area of focus will vary by Analyst (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent and Performance), with each Analyst owning responsibility for at least one Workday module. Analysts are expected to develop depth in their primary area while maintaining working knowledge across adjacent modules. As a technical contributor, the HR Systems Analyst supports both project-based initiatives and ongoing operational needs. The role is responsible for analyzing HR processes, identifying improvement opportunities, configuring and testing Workday solutions, and supporting reporting and analytics, including exposure to advanced Workday analytics capabilities such as Prism (preferred). The Analyst also maintains system security and business process frameworks, including condition rules, notifications, and SOX-compliant controls.

Project Execution and Solution Delivery

Provide solutions to support business initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver system enhancements that improve the user experience

Leverage analytical and technical skills to identify gaps and opportunities, making data informed recommendations

Execute projects by configuring and testing system functionality, and delivering effective and impactful results

Develop and execute test scripts for semi-annual releases and project-based work

Technical Support

Serve as escalated support for system inquiries and system issues through Service Now application, providing resolution for complex transactional errors

Functional Area Expertise

Design, configure, and maintain Core HCM functionality, including supervisory organizations, locations, and foundational organizational structures that support downstream HR processes.

Partner with HR and Talent stakeholders to support staffing and Recruiting processes by maintaining Core HCM configurations that impact job requisitions, hiring, organizational changes, and onboarding activities.

Collaborate with functional teams to maintain core job and position data, supporting organizational design, career frameworks, and consistent data usage across Workday modules.

Serve as a primary partner for reporting needs related to Core HCM data, supporting reporting requests and ensuring accurate, reliable data is available for analytics and decision-making

Assess downstream impacts of Core HCM configuration changes on other Workday modules and business processes, and partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment and system stability.

Consultation and Collaboration

Collaborate with Workday/3rd party consultants and internal IT teams to execute projects and provide solutions that meet business requirements

Interact with multiple levels within the organization, including senior leaders

Maintain technical and industry knowledge through participation in Workday Community, ongoing training, and professional development
You'll Come With

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or Business-related field preferred.

At least two years HR technology experience, with at least one year directly supporting HR Systems

Prior Workday experience required ; including exposure to business process & security frameworks

Experience with Workday Prism Analytics preferred, including supporting workforce datasets, calculated fields, or analytics that leverage Core HCM data

Configuration or system administration experience preferred; knowledge of standard testing procedures is a plus

Aptitude to troubleshoot, research, and test; emphasis on process improvement and solutions orientation

Strong understanding of HR data structures, including worker, job, position, organization, and supervisory organization frameworks, and how changes impact downstream modules and integrations

Proficiency in data manipulation and foundational project management practices

Detail-oriented with the ability to assess downstream impacts of configuration and business process changes

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

Demonstrated discretion and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information
