Job Summary
- The HRIS Analyst is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and related People systems to support HR operations and strategic initiatives. They serve as a key liaison between HR, IT, and system vendors, maintaining system structure, ensuring data integrity, streamlining processes, generating reports, and recommending system enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience. The HRIS Analyst also plays a key role in system upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting, ensuring the HRIS meets organizational needs and compliance requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of the Workday HRIS platform, including configurations, business process workflows, and user access

Maintain and optimize Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent Management, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and Time Tracking

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data within the HRIS systems and support compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to HR data

Generate custom reports, dashboards, and metrics for HR leadership and other departments

Assist with data migration and data integration between Workday and other systems

Assist in the configuration of new Workday releases, upgrades, and patches

Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with IT and Workday support teams for resolutions

Continuously evaluate system functionality and recommend process improvements and system optimizations

Provide end-user support and training to HR staff and other Workday users within the organization

Assist in developing training materials, documentation, and user guides to ensure smooth system adoption and usage

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and external vendors, to implement system improvements or new functionalities.

Participate in HRIS-related projects, including system upgrades and implementation of new modules, including testing new features, configurations, and changes to ensure proper functionality

Assist with other People Data and HR System support projects as needed
The HRIS team supports all features and functionality within the Workday system and any HR-related data within the E1 system and is cross-trained in the basics across all modules. In addition, analysts are assigned areas of focus to allow for dedicated support, deeper analytics, and more comprehensive subject expertise.
These systems' focus areas and their primary functionality include, but are not limited to:

Security: user role definition, configuration, assignment, and audit

Recruiting: talent acquisition, candidate management, and hiring processes

Talent Management: includes performance management, employee development, goal setting, and succession planning

Learning: supports employee learning and development programs, including training and certifications

Compensation: salary, merit cycles, bonuses, and stock options

Benefits: eligibility, enrollments, and integrations (payroll/carrier)

Absence Management: tracks and manages employee leave and absences, including vacation, sick leave, and other types of time off
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in HRIS, Workday administration, or a similar role

Strong knowledge of Workday HRIS modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Performance Management, Benefits, and/or Compensation

Experience in system configuration, data analysis, and reporting

Advanced in Excel and other data analysis tools

Understanding of HR business processes and how they align with HRIS functionality

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex HRIS issues

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred: Workday Certification (HCM, Benefits, talent Optimization, or other relevant certifications)
Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers

Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time

Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting, and requires in-person presence
