Description
SAIC is seeking a Director of HR Systems to lead the modernization and management of its HR technology portfolio. The candidate will partner with HR functional executive and senior HR leaders to define and execute an HR technology strategy and roadmap supporting business growth objectives and emergent opportunities. Essential for success is building and maintaining strong relationships with internal HR and IT partners as well as other stakeholders within the organization. Candidate will report directly to the VP of Enterprise Applications within the IT Office.
The candidate must have previously served in both HR functional and HR technical roles, with experience leading HR operations and as well as managing HR Systems. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of the processes, technology, and data utilized to support the entire employee “pre-hire to retire” life cycle, including recruiting and staffing, compensation and benefits, talent development and management, performance management, as well as compliance and legal requirements within the rules, regulations, and best practices of the government contractor space.
The candidate will partner with HR functional leaders to identify AI-enabled opportunities to enhance service delivery, automate routine processes, and improve employee experience; and oversee the implementation and integration of AI tools for enhanced HR service delivery, support, and other applicable functions.
This role requires a unique blend of HR policy knowledge and technical acumen to oversee a team of 10+ responsible for HRIS service delivery and HR systems portfolio technical support services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in HRIS management, and the ability to bridge the gap between HR functions and IT systems.
Successful candidates will additionally exhibit the following and/or related capabilities and experiences:
· Extensive experience leading HR technology selections, implementations, upgrades, conversions and operations, including Oracle HCM/Recruiting Cloud and Jobvite/Talemetry. Experience with other vendors solutions is also valued
· Manage and optimize numerous integrations and data exchanges with third party vendors, data warehouses, other enterprise systems and data consumers across all dimensions of HR services
· In-depth knowledge of key players, solutions, and capabilities in the HR technology space
· Understanding of ERP systems and complex multi-platform enterprise application ecosystems
· Experience leading integrations of employees, technology, and data during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
· Manage ~$6M annual budget including annual planning, quarterly forecasting and variance analysis
· Effective and continuously improving operations and performance monitoring, ensuring minimal downtime and incidents; promptly respond to emergent issues
· Ensure HR policies are effectively integrated into HRIS workflows and systems
· Ensure compliance with IT related requirements for SOX, PHI, PII, DFARS, ISO, CMMC
· Oversee technical support for HR systems, including managing user permissions, ensuring data integrity, and executing system audits
· Define and execute technical strategies and roadmap that align with and enable HR business strategy, driving change, business process reengineering, optimization, and modernization
· Understanding and experience in how emerging AI technologies can improve and optimize HR operational processes, employees’ user experience, employee career path planning, employee redeployment and business development activities
· Guide and support core HRIS functions including system configuration, enhancements, data retrieval, and functional configuration to support business needs
Additional functional technology domain areas under the area of responsibility include Corporate Marketing, Corporate Communications and Corporate Security software and tools.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor’s and at least 18 years’ experience; or Masters’s and at least 16 years’ experience in leading a team, managing budgets, managing technical software product implementations and operations
· MBA or Master’s degree in HR, Business or IT is preferred
· Expert in managing HR Technology and Services with minimum of 7 years performing as a leader in an HR Systems IT role for a large enterprise
· Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior Professional in HR (SPHR), or SHRM-SCP a plus
· Experience briefing, communicating, and collaborating with Executive Level Leadership
· Ability to succinctly articulate status and nuances of decision points to executive and senior leaders
· No active clearance required, although ability to obtain clearance or previous work in cleared environment (including Public Trust) preferred
· At least 8 years’ experience managing / overseeing SaaS environments and configuration in a heterogenous enterprise environment.
· Experienced People leader – experience with direct leadership of a team of at least 10+ individual contributors
· In-depth knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with both HR service delivery and technology support.
